Idol last night: Devil sound planted in audio Did anyone watch this performance last night? About halfway thru this performance some strange sound was mixed in with the audio. It scared the crap out of me and the wife. Does anyone know what the hell this sound is?

That was kinda weird.
But, notice how it didn't even phase her? If Candace doesn't win this competition, I will be beyond shocked! This woman acts as if she has been singing on stage for 30 years! Every song she has ever performed on this show, she has remained on-key, with PERFECT pitch. I am ready to buy her CD like yesterday! She is an incredibly gifted singer. I just hope when she does release her CD, it's not a bunch of trendy dance music. She's too far above that kind of dribble. I'm with Randy on this. But I take it one step further by saying she is the best singer Idol has ever had, period!

Gunsnhalen your fellow sound man here to say that this was clearly the shitty audio man trying to fix high doin and it messed with the channels causing high, low and strange sound frequencies. It's happened to me on set before but that was a low budget thing... If I fucked up like that on a big show like idol I would be eating ramen with syrup for dinner.
