I don't know if he is on this particular song, but Daryl Hall played keyboards on many early Thom Bell and Gamble & Huff productions. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton |

I agree 1,000 precent. The Delfonics are probably my favorite soul group.
I usually listen to the song, Trying to Make a Fool of Me at least a couple times a month.
Also i think their 1999 album(Forever New) was pretty darn good and underated. Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon. |

That's a great song.My favorite is "Break Your Promise" and "Hey Love" is one of the most effective slow jams EVER!

I agree,Joey.Today's music just can't compare to the stuff from the past! "Hey Love" is the epitome of sexy soul music. |

Love this song, I grew up in a household where may Dad played heaps of Philly soul and vocal groups like this. These guys could really sing and they could move. I only wish music could go back to this stuff.
Who cares that the songs were very sugary, it was the sincerity that we all appreciated. This is fine music and I have a few of these types of jams on my Ipod, mostly several Motown compilation's and a best of the Stylistics album. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name |
