Vivian Dandridge - The Look of Love album

I'm happy I found out more about Vivian Dandridge. But I find it sad that she didn't get the success like her sister. But overall she is a good singer , also this album wasn't successful

Technically, Dorothy didn't have that much success either.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I'm sorry , i didn't mean it that way . I meant that it seemed nobody noticed her. But I was planning to get a book about Dorothy by Donald Bogle

Vivian is the voice of So White in this old WB cartoon. Their mother Ruby Dandridge does the voice of the Queen. Warning: not PC, but it's typical of the era, so don't watch if you might be offended.

Thank you , It's a little offending but I got more information out of it.

One of my all time favorite movies is The Green Pastures. It has the old Amos & Andy style dialect that Hollywood tended to do with black actors of the time, but I think it's a good movie.

You might be interested in this PBS special from the 1980's. It's supposed to be 4 parts, but part 2 is missing. It might be some copyright issue with a particular song or footage.
