Beyonce and Andre 3000 to remake Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" for "Gatsby" movie http://www.bet.com/news/m...atsby.html
Beyoncé is set to cover "Back to Black," and she's teamed with Andre 3000 for a remake of the Amy Winehouse hit. Bey and Andre will record their take for the soundtrack to the forthcoming screen adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. According to a label source, the song will be an entirely new spin on the 2007 single. "It's a very different take on 'Back to Black,'" the source said. The duo previously worked together on "Party," off the Houston native's 4 album. Lending her voice to Gatsby will also mark another collaboration between the 31-year-old and her better half.Jay-Z has signed on to executive produce the film's soundtrack, which will be distributed through Interscope. Early reports stated that Hov was scoring the entire project, claims of which he later clarified. Directed by Baz Luhrman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire star in the Warner Bros. film. As Fitzgerald's most famous literary work, The Great Gatsby takes place during the Roaring Twenties and centers around Nick Carraway, a bond salesman drawn to the extravagant parties of his rich neighbor Jay Gatsby. The Great Gatsby will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15.

The Great Gatsby has to be one of the most boring books I've ever read. Who wants to see that mess on screen?

I hate that they're making a remake of Amys song, no need for that, nothing against Bey or Andre but I generally hate covers and I don't understand why they won't use the original? :/...
