It took me awhile but i really think M.I.A is a stellar artists and imo one of the defining artists of my generation. Now that is just my opinion so don't get to Koo Koo on me

The way she uses worldwide dance beats that range from middele eastern to American to Asian and even African and mix it with very strong political songs it's just boss shit.

She has some really dancy songs that lyrically deal with some very deep shit going on with 3rd world countries and the what America has done to hurt the image of a lot of people suffering in 3rd world countries.

I mean for one who knew a song like Paper planes would go top 10? the song is about Americas perception of immigrants and the character in the song talks about evading boarder police, selling crack, throwing ''lethal poison in the system'' and has a chorus with kids talking about wanting to shoot and take your money.

The girl is amazing and has made some fantatsic beats and even sampled some heavy metal and funk songs to make them sound out of this world

Yeah yeah not trying ot write an essay but either way this chick is the business.
