Yes, I've been a fan of Nirvana as long as I can remember lol... Nevermind is a great album and almost all the songs are basically hits, but In Utero is the better album, that's the real Nirvana so to speak... Good to see some people on here, appreciate Nirvana When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix

I just pulled out Nevermind for car listening the other day. Great record.
The album that turned me around on them was actually Incesticide, their b-sides and outtakes collections. I loved Silver, Dive, Been A Son, Aneurysm and the Vaselines $ Devo covers. I think Nevermind and In Utero are pretty close overall, Nevermind is the album that wants to be liked and In Utero is the one that says "please hate this." But I like the songs, performances and production on both albums.
In Utero reminds me of On The Beach by Neil Young, guys having trouble dealing with their own fame and using it for a muse. A lot of poeple would say "god what a whiner" but, hey, it does feel very sincere. "if she floats then she is not a witch like we had thought" is almost as good a line as "I went to the radio interview, ended up alone at the microphone."

Yes, Pennyroyal tea is a classic song and it's one of my favs! Heartshaped box is also one of my top songs by Nirvana, it's full of anxiety, real emotions and great melodic feeling. I think the reason why I love Nirvana so much is because they had so many great melodies and harmonies in their songs, plus Kurts incredible songwriting abilities!
