I really like the first one. If you like Prince you will like it. I still listen to it every once in awhile. I didn't like the 2nd one. Not near the energy imo. |

Go get the album, "Permanent Shade Of Blue". One of my fave CDs in my collection. Still gets heavy rotation in my house
Gorgeous album. Stand out tunes....erm.... all of them !!

It's a belter from start to finish.I own the album Get Ready (I think that's it's name), and it's really good.

I don't know much about his solo music, but he was was singing with Mike + The Mechanics and is on their last album The Road (2011). You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |
