The king of R&B Bobby Brown checked in to an L.A. jail last night (March 20, 2013) to begin serving his jail sentence for DUI…

News quickly spread that Brown would possibly spend only 9 days in the clink due to over crowding:

“The time expected, all things being equal, is about eight days,” said Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.

“But he could get out in a matter of days and go on electronic monitoring. It’s really tough to say exactly.”

Welp… it seems that estimate was grossly exaggereated!

Bobby is now free to move on after spending only a few hours in jail.

According to TmZ, Brown was in and out of jail in record speed…. 9 hours to be exact.

Brown checked into L.A. County Jail at 9:58 AM Wednesday. He was released at 6:58 PM. Interesting … an L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesperson said just days ago Brown would serve 9 days … but the jails are bursting at the seams and this is what happens … kind of a joke, don’t you think?

Brown was arrested in October after driving erratically on an L.A. street. He pled no contest to DUI and driving on a suspended license. It was his second DUI arrest in 7 months.

Just for the record, I don’t think anyone has ever beaten Lindsey Lohan’s 84 minute jail stint, but I’m sure Bobby Broke somebody’s jail record… somewhere! It’s a clear testament to how incredibly screwed up L.A.’s justice system is.

Brown remains on 4 years probation and has been ordered to attend alcohol education classes for the next 18 months.

He is now free to move about the country so y’all can ditch all the ‘Free Bobby Brown’ t-shirts…

Do yall remember he was on Celebrity Fit Club? i watched that season cause Sebastian Bach from Skid Row was also on it

From what i recall he was a decent guy on the show and didn't act a total fool or get in fights with the other members.

It's obvious the show didn't help though

He lost his parents and whitney (death, not divorce) , no wonder he looks like that

I'm a big Bobby fan! I hate how people look down on him. Sure he's not perfect and I'm sure he has a lot of regrets. I just hope he can get healthy and maybe put some more music out. I enjoyed the one that came out last year.

Bobby has already had a stroke. So that means he is not in good health. Bashing him is not going to make him any better...

Wow that is so sad. Sometimes I think we forget these people (celebrities) are real people too with feelings. What we say can affect them just like anyone else.

You act like this is the first time he's in trouble. How long has this been going on now, 15 years?

Apperently he is not dealing with his problems.

Everybody has problems & demons...Even Jesus was crucified....

Just so he doesn't get drunk behind the steering wheel again...

Someone should advise him to:

1. If you're gonna drink, get someone to drive you home.
2. Make sure you're still not drinking when cops find you on your phone slumped over.
3. Use it in moderation (which him being an alcoholic since childhood wouldn't work).

Also his alcoholism is probably harder to control than his drug use, which he has stopped.

Enabling erratic behavior isn't either. I can remember a former football player Leonard

Little killed someone driving drunk and got a second chance to play football. Then the

fool had another DUI but was fortunate no one was hurt and i think he managed to

get the second charge dropped. If this were you and I we probably wouldn't have

gotten a second chance to resume working in our place of employment.

Hopefully Bobby learns from this latest episode. Everyone has supported him but

when is enough enough.

I remember when he was performing once on the MTV Video Muziq Awards at the top of his game.. He dropped in plain view on stage a bag of rock cocaine. But he swooped it up quick & didn't miss a beat.
