I thought it was more Frank Sinatra, almost tounge in cheek like the Lawrence Welk Show or some other variety show. Cause you know anyone can sing, dance and act to some degree if your in the entertainment business. But charisma is what counts.

Plus MJ came out of the same entertainment business. So did JT. They were both born from the same beast. Neither one can stake claims to their styling, none of it's new. It's all things other people have done or other people came up with to create an image. MJ had the worst taste in furnishings, I remember watching him go shopping. Just terrible. Imagine if he styled himself.

I agree but lets not try and satte that JT is tryig to cop MJ's 79 disco vibe
It aint Sinatra cause he isnt crooning Sinatra like standards vibe...he is doing disco rnb..
yeah MJ doesnt own the bow tie tux but if JT was doing Sinatra he would wear a porkpie hat
I cant believe there is any questioning this lol "Climb in my fur."

Like I said I think its like Lawrence Welk/Carol Burnett Show montage. That whole era of an entertainer being entertainment. The band looks straight out of Lawrence Welk.

Last week's sales projections for Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience had the singer moving over 750,000 units of his maritally focused new album. Now that estimate is looking conservative. Billboard have bumped the number up twice since, and are now predicting "950,000-plus" — considering they usually play it conservative, it's a fairly safe bet that JT is bringing platinum back.

If you read the New Yorker article they pretty much reference they styling how I did. I don't care, I just think that MJ isn't the influence for every artist on the planet, niether is Prince. I think the stylist know things about PR and would be very aware of this concidering the money invested grooming the image into a product.

The inside decoration of the main"NeverLand" house with the famous "Jesus Juice" was absolutely horrid. It looked clustered like a Junk yard... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Neither do I.
But answer this if you are so unbiased etc.
Do you think there are any MJ or Prince influneces in the music of 2020 and with FSLS?
Yes or no? "Climb in my fur."

I guess, I think that those 'sounds' are so generalized across the board for music now. To me Prince sounds like many of his peers when he was coming on the scene. ESG for example. I think I hear Fela Kuti. And self admitted, Santana. I think there was one song I recall off of FSLS that sounded like MJ, but some of those songs were made for him, right? The stuff I have heard/seen thus far off of 20/20 doesn't remind me of either of them. When I heard Suit&Tie the first few occasions, I don't know why I thought of Toni Tony Tone. I almost peed cause I thought for a second it was Tony Toni Tone/RS. But I listened and I figured out it wasn't them, and actually I didn't know who it was, I lost interst after that. I think people are programmed by popular culture/media to default to only the things that they are exposed to. I just skimd through the album, sound like same old boring ass Timbaland shit. Definately don't hear a MJ connection.

I got the Target version for the 2 bonus songs. I really dig "Dress On" and I think they should've made room for it on the regular album.
