Ok guys, let's forget about his new album and single right now. This has been on my mind for YEARS.

Why does the music industry continue to kiss Timerlake's ass? It's annoying.

My main issue is that his last album came out 6 fucking years ago, SIX. I remember when "Sexy Back" "What Goes Around..Comes Around" and "My Love" had first come out. I'm not gonna like, they were nice songs and I liked them. But why the hell does the radio still play them like they came out fucking yesterday? They were ok songs, but nothing great. The songs I just mentioned plus "Rock Your Body" and "Cry Me a River" are on regular rotation. WHY?

As soon as I heard about him working on a new album I KNEW the radio would play the hell out of singles even if they sucked. And I'm sorry, but Suit and Tie is hot ass. The only part I like on it is Jay-Z's verse.

He has an extremely annoying high-pitched voice, his voice has no kind of dept or range. And he can't dance, he might have a little bit of rhythm but he is NOT a natural dancer and he's very stiff in the hips. These are FACTS.

So what's the damn obsession? My only guess is that he is a white guy doing more R&B-type music, which makes him special. Kind of like Michael McDonald/Doobie Brothers. This type of thing isn't new in the music industry. I've noticed that throughout music history when a artist does music outside of their "norm" they get a lot more exposure. Like a Female (Chaka) or white people (AWB) doing funk music in the 70s, for example. But STILL timberlake is mediocre as hell to me. Nothing special about him.

Oh, and his acting SUCKS. Who the hell gave him those roles? Dude is TRASH on the big screen. It's sad how decent actors/actresses wait years for their big break and this asshole gets big film roles form the jump? Why? Are people really rushing to the theatres for a Justin Timberlake film? REALLY?

Oh yeah, and his SNL skits were ass.

I don't get the hype. His album will probably debut and #1 and stay there for 5 weeks. Big fucking whoop. Half those sales will be the record label anyway.

You guys know me by now, I don't give a shit about who the media hypes up nor do I give a shit about 95% of what's on Hip-Hop/R&B radio today. But it has always baffled me why JT is always regarded as so great. WTF has he even done? Dude has always been "just ok" for me. Just another Beyonce, Rihanna, Gaga, Britney, Katy Perry or Ke$ha to me.

I did acknowledge that his presence in the music scene will make things more interesting and he makes better music in comparision to his peers.

No he is not a genius

and NO I am not going to stop saying those things

People are free to express themselves whether you agree or disagree.

Just like how you like him people are free to express that they dont like him.

They start a bunch of threads on an artist knowing that the artist is just going to get bashed.

I dont understand it either.

If people see a bunch of threads claiming JT is a genius or the best pop star of this generation on this Prince site., they naturally are going to bash but the people criticizing are not the ones making those threads... its the thread starters that instigates it.

There is hate for him on many forums, lipstick alley being the worst of it imo. I'm used to it Been a fan of him for 16 years now, it doesn't stop me from enjoying him. It's really the media that hypes him up.

That's what makes me shake my head the most. I notice that some people really take offense to him being successful. You don't have to like him but some really go overboard with it. There is a difference with not being a fan and just plain obessive hate over him I was an Nsync fan first and I do notice most Nsync fans are mad that he made it instead of JC. JC was the better singer no doubt and I really wish he had a successful solo career as well but you can't blame Justin for that.
