Unsung might do an ep on the Geto Boys Not sure how true that is, a friend just told me "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

If so, I wonder if they're gonna interview anyone from the original Car Freak lineup. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Willie D. used to have a radio talk show, and he had Destiny's Child on it way before they released anything. He seemed to like James Taylor (Fire & Rain singer, not the one from Kool & The Gang) too and played his songs often. During the time when NWA was " THE Shit " , they ( being The Geto Boys ) remade one of their albums with Rick Rubin which was heavily criticized for the lyrical content and misogyny, I have that on cassette. The following year , they came out with My Mind Playing Tricks On Me and blew up. If they end up doing an episode on them, it will surely be interesting what will be covered. IMO they were a better group than NWA in terms of putting on that Gangster image, Scarface is on even ground as an MC against Ice Cube and Bushwick Bill was just as good as Easy E.
