I listened to Pac and Dre and before that I loved Tribe Called Quest and Eric B & Rakim, Pete Rock & CL Smooth...you know...back when rappers could rap with real words and every other word wasn't mf this and bitch and ho that...
My older kids grew up on LL, Salt & Pepa, and Snoop but the younger ones like Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa. Although my "baby" went with me to see Salt & Pepa, Dougie Fresh, Big Daddy Kane, etc. in Chicago year before last and he loved it! Personally I can't stand Lil Wayne, Birdman, Nicki...

...I never did drugs, I eat right, never smoked, and I stay out of the sun (causes wrinkles and fast aging) because I'm a redhead and don't tan anyway. 
And a glass (or three) of red wine every day does wonders.

The old adage comes to mind, "Where there's smoke, there has been fire". With all the black SUVs that rolled up on Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA and the amount of artists like Drake that showed up and the entire posse of Cash Money/Young Money and the fact that his Mom was flying in from New Orleans, it seems that more is up with Mr. Carter than just watching the NCAA hoops on tv from a hospital bed in ICU. The spin doctors are always gonna put the best light on something, and I doubt it was really Lil Wayne that tweeted at 9:39PM if he is intesive care. There is more to this than meets the eye. The Young Money MC who was hospitalized last week following a series of seizures, has been surrounded by friends and family since he was first re-admitted last Wednesday, March 13, — including Nicki Minaj,Drake and Birdman, the head of Young Money/Cash Money, reports Us magazine. Weezy’s mentor, Birdman, was one of the first to stop by to give his well wishes to Weezy who he affectionately calls “my son.” “My son is feelin Good. Will be home real soon,” he tweeted on Friday, March 15. Also visiting: La Clippers star point guard Chris Paul and fellow Young Money MC, Drake. Meanwhile, conflicting reports about Lil Wayne’s health condition have been circulating ever since the rapper was rushed to the hospital to be treated for severe seizures on Tuesday. He was released on Wednesday, but quickly readmitted after his bodyguards found him unconscious on the floor several hours later. On Friday, as we alluded to at the beginning of this story, TMZ originally reported that the rapper was in a very bad way … that he was being read his last rites. But an inside source close refuted those reports as being wildly exaggerated. “He drank too much sizzurp to get a better high,” the source explained to Us. “He needs rehab but he’s not close to death or anything. He’s fine and just coming down off the high.” Sizzurp is a highly addictive, recreational drug that involves prescription-strength cough syrup, sugary sodas and hard candies, typically sipped out of Styrofoam cups.

Lil Wayne Speaks On Seizures, Reveals That He Has Epilepsy [LISTEN]
 Lil Wanye opened up about his health scares, revealing that his seizures are a result of epilepsy. Weezy called into L.A.'s Power 106 radio station to speak with DJ Felli Fell, and he announced that he is suffering from the neurological disorder. "The bad news is I'm an epileptic. I'm prone to seizures," he said. "This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. After suffering a few seizures in a short span of time, speculation that the cause was drug related began to swirl. The New Orleans native has a well documented--although not often spoken about--addiction to codeine, which can cause seizures and epilepsy, and shouldn't be consumed by people with sleep apnea (of which he previously suffered from) but according to the YMCMB leader, the rumors are just that. "I've had a bunch of seizures, ya'll just never hear about them. But this time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious. "I have people around me. I actually have [seizures] so much they already know what to do. They already know how to handle it. Certain times I don't even go to the hospital, but this time, it was real bad because it was three in a row, and I've never had three back to back like that. "The third one was so bad and I live in the hills in L.A. So the reason why it was bad was that I live all the way at the top, so you know how hard it is getting down those hills. That was what was so scary about it." Wayne also responded to TMZ posting that he was being read his final rights. While the likes of Mack Maine, and T.I. went on an anti-TMZ Twitter rampage, the father of four was less upset about the whole thing. "That's what they do. I can't be upset at that. I get upset at my kids when they do things that I tell them not to do. I can't be upset at TMZ for doing what they do." The rapper further proved that there are no hard feeling with TMZ, by sending the website a recording announcing to fans that he was on the mend, and prepping his America's Most Wanted Music Festival. I still think TMZ is telling the truth. Its strange he not putting tmz down either..
