IS Ready for the World gonna be on next season? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Don't know...I was just responding to the OP about who I'd like to see given the "Unsung" treatment.
Sorry for the confusion...

Here's who I'd like to see
You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I think this is probably better than anything Unsung can come up with. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I would love to see one on New Birth. A Taste Of Honey, would be a good one(but i guess since they were featured in the "Disco" unsung, that cancels them out, booooooooooo, wanted more). The Deele, One Way, Starpoint,Aurra/Slave, Bernard Wright, War, Enchantment, Lakeside, & Dynasty. [Edited 3/15/13 18:43pm]

I would also like to see The Jones Girls or a child star group from the 90s. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

New Edition's real unsung member is Ralph Tresvant, not Johnny.
Bobby, Johnny and BBD wwere all much bigger than Ralph.
My vote for next season: Joe Tex Five Stairsteps Johnny Taylor Johnny Guitar Watson Stephanie Mills Kashif Jermaine Jackson Colonel Abrams PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

I always found this odd since Ralph was the main lead on most of NE's singles. Then again, Mick Jagger, Lindsey Buckingham, & Steve Perry didn't really have much success as solo acts either. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I agree with Ralph being Unsung seems like he had one solo album and that was it and did some stuff on the Mo Money soundtrack-I'd like to see one on Ralph.

Ralph actually put out 3 solo albums, but his debut was the only one that made any noise.

I do not see one "Unsung" artist in that list whatsoever.. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

This is a nice list, right here.

To be honest, they've jumped the shark on the meaning of, "Unsung", i say why not ? lol !!! Seriously, they need to change that titled. Speaking of, since they've kinda blury the line of the meaning of Unsung, what would you guys rename the show ?

The Show Formerly Known As Behind The Music. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

The DVD also has a few tribute performances as extra features. Here's a couple of interviews from recent years, one for PBS (2007) and the other about the Rumble In The Jungle concert (2009). You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Wonder if they are gonna get into the Eddie Murphy rumors on Johnny's Unsung. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."
