Lol, that is where I heard it for the first time as well! Sometimes VH1 Soul will play these songs that I have never, heard in my life and I'm like, where was I when this came out? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

It's funny, because that remix is totally different to the album version. The album version, and the whole album in general, is alot softer and contains no hard edged new jack at all....
...It's much more softer and poppy. Kinda like mid 80's Force M.D's. Ironically, the M.D's toughened their sound up on their overlooked "Step to me" album from around the same time as Riff's debut album.
Riff's 2nd album is very different to their 1st. Now their sound was tougher and they dressed like Jodeci and the like. I really dig both albums, but the image and sound change was very obvious. Though the 2nd album did have the nice, low key title track, still proving they could harmonize as well as the first CD, but in general its more straight rnb/newjack, with a couple of standards among the usual filler.
So yeah, I really like both their albums, and of course "white men can't jump" aswell.
Heres a late newjack fav my mine, from their 2nd album:-

I prefer the original album version. These fools look and sound ridiculous to me-- trying to be New Jack. It just seems too contrived. Their first album was really good though. [Edited 3/27/13 2:51am]

What I want to know is this-was the same person choreographing all those 90s new jack vids, cause everyone is doing the same damn moves. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."
