Breakin' & pop lockin' in early/mid 80s pop & soul videos

There were already appearances of dancers or crews (one with Toni Basil) on tv shows as Soul Train, The Scene or on pioneer specials and movies like Wild Style, Beat Street, Breakin' And Entering (Ice-T), Breakin' Part 1 & 2, etc. Here some other boogie in clips where artists from other genres started to use the street moves:

Billy Joel - Uptown Girl

Chaka Khan - I Feel For You

Featuring the main actors and dancers from Breakin' 1 and 2.

Freeez - I.O.U.

Freeez from the UK started as a jazz-funk group, and then this song became much popular as an electro boogie anthem.

Jesse Johnson - Be Your Man

Lionel Richie - All Night Long

Malcom McLaren - Buffalo Gals

Same sorta story as with Freeez in the early days of hip hop rap crossover. Malcolm used to be manager for the Sex Pistols. This single was a collaboration with the World Famous Supreme Team who you see appearing with Malcolm in the studio. Also some break crews are in the video such as the Rock Steady Crew.

Mtume - Juicy Fruit

tricky ciggy smoker

O'Bryan - Breakin' Together

Clip is also not embedded: O'Bryan - Breakin' Together

Notice that the female co-singer dressed in black is none other than Miss Karyn White debuting in this 1984 video sexy cool

Patrice Rushen - Get Off (You Fascinate Me)

Second Image - Special Lady

Starpoint - Breakout

I made a mistake by posting Tears For Fears' video of "Everybody Wants To Rule The World". I thought there were 2 breakers in there but the dancers do more of a 60s soul revue impression. Great track though as I'm also a fan of their "Woman In Chains" song featuring Oleta Adams.

Tyrone Brunson - Fresh

Lionel Richie - All Night Long

This video was produced by Michael Nesmith and directed by Bob Rafelson. Bob was one of the creators of The Monkees TV show.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Mike is a member of the Monkees (usually wore a knit cap) and one of the originators of "country rock". He also came up with the idea of MTV (called Pop Clips) and sold it to Warner Brothers.

I don't know anything about Break Machine or where they're from. I just remember the song and video.

Juicy - Beat Street Strut

Klymaxx - Meeting In The Ladies Room

Pointer Sisters - Automatic

Original clip of the sisters mixed with dance parts which were filmed on the UK tv show Top Of The Pops.

Rah Band - Clouds Across The Moon

Shalamar - Friends

Warning: the sound for the clip is recorded extremely hard (noticable at the announcement) and that's somehow unfortunate imo.

There is another song called Ronnie's Rap by Ron & The DC Crew, but the music video is not posted, just the audio. I remember Video Soul would show it.

This is from an old Bollywood movie called Athisaya Piravi. The song is from 1986 and titled Holiday Rap by MC Miker G & DJ Sven (or Madonna razz).
