I never get these types of comparisions because Kelly has never had the same backing and marketing as Beyonce EVEN IN DC. That is 70 percent of the reason why Beyonce is where she is so that is not a fair comparision because Beyonce makes garbage music JUST LIKE KELLY is not really creative JUST LIKE KELLY and meets the minium requirement when it comes to talent JUST LIKE KELLY. The only difference is Beyonce has a million dollar backing and Kelly doesnt.

Kelly is not the greatest singer in the world but calling her garbage is an exaggeration. I actually like her singing.

She is trying to follow in Beyonces foot steps but what she should do is work on forming HER OWN idenity outside of Beyonce/DC. Like another poster said, Fuck Beyonce and her producers and strive to be Kelly's own artist.

She has potential because she is interesting. I think the kind of music Solange makes would be better suited for Kellys voice.

Can't Nobody, is the only song that I like. It's due to the music and not her voice.

I once saw Kelly in a movie....can't recall the name,but it was one of those popular horror flicks.She should probably get back to acting.Her music career just doesn't seem to be happening.And like someone said,she should try to get the Donna Summer role in a biopic of the disco queen.I've seen pics of her where she looks so much like Donna,in her early days.

To me the issue with Kelly's entire career is her image. She has the cute girl who lives next door look but she insists on trying to be this sex kitten. It just does not seem to match her real persona. I guess her "handlers" feel like this is the way to go because the industry celebrates the crass low level way of presenting women but i think it is ridiculous. She can wind and grind in all the videos she wants it is just not believable to me, therefore her music is not believable to me.

Kelly is not crossover material and never was, there are not many that do crossover, Beyonce can do that cause she appeals to every race, kelly doesnt, just like other RB artists, some like USHER appeal to all races, say Rashaan patterson or someone like that does not. Kelly has had many images, so the thing about her being a SEX kitten, please, whats Beyonce selling when she wears nothing on stage and a miniskirt in every video? thats the image, and people dig it for some and not for some, everyone needs to stop like Kelly is doing some slut thing while Beyonce is selling some wholesome imaage, please.

Exactly Kelly should try to find a more genuine,believable image because the sex kitten thing just ain't working for her.It feels forced and phony.

^^ I agree with this but I never understood how some can get away with this but others cant because Beyonces image is very contrived and phony as well but she seems to make alot of money off of it.

I try not to bash Beyonce but people here make it seem like Beyonce "image" is just this classy wholesome girl who represents girl power etc when she dress half naked on magazines, on stage and in videos

The thing is..... Kelly doesnt go around prancing around half naked on stage. The performances Ive seen she is fully clothed although in some of her videos she is not. She never had the sexy pin up girl image and that it isnt her because trust and believe she is way more prettier than Beyonce so her not looking the part is not the issue.
