Goapele's "Play" is a good example of a sensual song that isn't overly explicit. Hers is one of my favorite CDS of 2012.

As for the song, KELLY is and always was MORE interesting, more SEXY and a better singer than her counter parts in Destinys CHild case closed.

It seems like,nowadays,if a female R&B singer wants attention,she has to get nasty Ciara strips down on the cover of her suggestive new single "Body Party" and now Kelly is singing a song about oral sex...lol...it's sad but funny at the same time.

If only these desperate strategies would work!

but she is still more interestting than Beyonce, i mean she may not have her persona, talent, voice etc....but Beyonce is a one note artist, shes been singing Bills Bills Bills for well over a decade, every song is on the level the same vocal style, she is boring, talented, but like Mariah, she is a lousy overall as an album artist .

Kelly has more personality than her ex-group members. That's what makes her songs sound so realistic, and her so more interesting. BTW, 270K copies is the number of units her last album moved in North America.

Because you make it seem like her ex band mate has MJ, Prince, Stevie Wonder type talent and her talent is fairly average and primarily consists of just her singing (which really isnt all of that) she cant dance, she doesnt write her music etc so how is she soo above Kelly?

Kelly is JUST as talented and I find her to be more talented because she is more original and creative with how she expresses her talent which goes hand to hand with talent.

I'm also proud of her body. Seriously, she's come a long way from being the skinny girl with the short hair to a sexy woman.

Oh and when they get ready to do a Donna Summer biopic, she should throw her hat in the ring. Just sayin.

I get what a couple of people are saying, in that there is something mildly interesting about Kelly sometimes in comparison to the oversaturated Beyonce, but dammit, you gotta come with better songs than that shit. Get away form the mainstream producers. Fuck Beyonce and her producers, Kelly shouldn't work with any material that sounds remotely like hers.

sorry dude dont even put the blame of the current state of music on me, just look at this org and what gets hits as topics and what doesnt, one of the reasons i rarely start threads here. KELLY is far far from un-talented, so if you think she is your missing it clearly, she is musically more interesting, thats a statement of FACT, than Beyonce is, NO she isnt more talented, but dont make it seem like she is some Kim Kardashian sounding singer who gets auto-toned to have a record deal. Beyonce's sister is more interesting than her, but i dont think she is more talented, MARIAH is a talented but she isnt interesting HUGE DIFFERENCE. Bob Dylan is more talented than John Mellencamp but i can get through a Bob DYlan album,, i can listen to Mellencamp singing the phone book. So like everything else TALENT has levels, and INTERESTING artists have levels. Beyonce has talent, but her doing a new song, doesnt even get me to raise an eyebrow because she has been in the same note for over a decade.

People just dont get it, especially when its female artists, to me AMERIE is lights years more interesting, is she a better singer than Beyonce, NO a better performer NO, but if the two are playing a show Im going to see AMerie cause what she does with what talent she has (and she has got it, because BEYONCE ripped her off enough). The same with Kelly, im not crazy about her music, some i have liked and some i dont, i think she can sing, is she better than Beyonce, thats subjective to the listener, personally vocalists like Aguilera and Beyonce and 99% of the vocalists coming out now in RB all sing the same way, its like there is a manufacturing plant turning out one note singers, they all do the scat calling, and the wo wo wo's etc....sorry thats just not interesting to me.
