The Eddie Kendricks episode this Wednesday...

I'm not trying to get too excited because these shows can go either way but I'm ecstatic nonetheless.

Too excited about this one. TV One has finally picked up steam with this UnSung series, starting with the Disco episode, which is one of the best things they've done yet. Hopefully Eddie's will really be insightful. Gotta spin those volumes 1 and 2 of those Motown Solo Albums anthologies and celebrate!

Set my DVR this morning to record it tomorrow night!!! Can't wait!

It was not a Temps record it was Rose Royce however, Temps 70's producer

Noman Whitfield had his paws all over Rose Royce during their success which explains why this record sounds like a Temps record.

Okay. I have mixed feelings about this episode. Or maybe I just need to watch again and not have such high expectations. Or maybe I'm just emotional. I dunno. I just wanna

I love that he has a park named after him in Birmingham. That's pretty cool.

Gosh that smile of his Handsome man.

So my issues were this, why did it seem to me that Otis was trying to hint that Eddie was this violent guy with two sides? WTF? Otis, shut up. Very interesting Otis left out the part as to why Eddie was banging on his door that night. I think, from how other's described him, that Eddie was just a stubborn mule.

Another issue is with the part when they were discussing the Temptations Reunion tour and Otis was saying that Eddie couldn't sing. Ummm, I can at least say that his voice wasn't the same as it was when he was singing with the Tempts in their hey day, but to me, Eddie COULD STILL SING, maybe his voice wasn't strong, but it wasn't like the guy just sounded awful. The way Otis was describing it was as if Eddie shouldn't had been singing at all. Again, Otis shut up.

David's funeral...man oh man, do they have that somewhere on tape? Looked more like a mini concert dedicated to their friend...but it was real messed up how the mother of his daughter had him arrested for back child support. At a funeral? Pretty cold blooded. But old man Gordy came to the rescue and bailed Eddie out of jail? Say wha?

And yeah, Diana was a stickler for being "the other woman" wasn't she?

Okay, now that I got some things off my chest, the episode was pretty good. I love the clips they showed of the Tempts...boy they were bad! My goodness! I also loved how they showed clips of Eddie in his interviews from back in the day. Again with that sly smile of his

Ugh, Otis and his lies about Eddie "losing his voice". From what I hear, he could still sing. Maybe not to the degree he did before, but he was still capable. But other than that, great episode.
