I saw a solid show during that album. All performed smashing solos. Great memories. They started jamming with the opening track of the album. Some moments of that tour can or could be watched online.

I think that's about their first abum without drummer Stix? Ndugu did great work before that album, for George Duke's Band, 80s funk productions with Reggie Andrews and many recording session for other artists.

Yeah, was a thrill to see them so up and close performing cool Hope you'll catch a show of them anytime. I mistook that they started with the first album title track "Good Times". "Mischievous Ways" which starts on side 2 of the vinyl lp was actually their opening jam, with solo work from Wilton, guitarist David T. Walker, the great trumpetist (gotta recheck his name), bassist Brad Bobo with solid walking, and I remember checking out the dazzling fills of the drummer Scott. Here some footage of their visit that year on the German live tv show "Ohne Filter":

I also remember the guest appeareance of singer Reichii Guillory performing for "The Way It Goes", which Nancy Wilson originally sings on the album. Reichii sang one year later on the album title "Love Is A Rush" (1987) by Wilton Felder:

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

okay, I googled it. no relation

He was not related to musical comedian and fellow accordionist "Weird Al" Yankovic, who also performs polka music among many other styles. However, Weird Al has jokingly hypothesized that he was given accordion lessons as a child because his parents thought that "there should be at least one more accordion-playing Yankovic in the world."[2] Al performed accordion on "Who Stole the Kishka?" on one of Frankie's final records, Songs of the Polka King, Vol. 1. A portion of Frankie's "The Tick Tock Polka" is included in the song "Polka Face" on Weird Al's Alpocalypse; it was used as a lead-in for "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha.

Frank (sometimes 'Frankie') Yankovic & Jimmy Sturr are probably the most well known polka acts. Weird Al used to get asked about being related to Frank all the time earlier in his career.

Welcome thumbs up! I enjoyed seeing them again too. That track where percussionist Airto Moreira is introduced as guest is amazing and new to me. It wasn't part of the show which I visited. Strong solos and also Joe's piano part is a trip. Your earlier posting of Gary Byrd's Experience reminded me of his 70s work

Gotta check it someday
