Favorite Stock-Aitken-Waterman Songs

These guys were to British pop in the 80's what LaFace Jimmy Jam & Terry were to R&B nod Anybody got any jams?

And of course we have:

I'm not gonna lie. Their songs are cheesy as hell, but I love them anyway lol

I love "Love's About To Change My Heart" from the Donna Summer album, with that trademark Donna slow start and fast ending. A very good project as a whole, that. Alas, I don't know much other SAW stuff, outside the obvious hits.

And it's Stock, BTW, not Scott. lol

I've been buying some of their stuff for awhile now, they were pretty prolific while alot of their material never made big in the States. A few of my favorite SAW songs are, in no particular order:

Kylie Minogue- I Should Be So Lucky

O'chi Brown- Whenever You Need Somebody (I like Rick Astley's version too)

Princess- Say I'm Your Number One

Bananarama- More Than Physical

Donna Summer- Sentimental

Rick Astley- Never Gonna Give You Up

Dead or Alive- Lover Come Back To Me

Samantha Fox- I Only Wanna Be With You

Boy Krazy- Different Class (ok not a full SAW production but close enough)

A few; no particular order...

"If I Have To Stand Alone" Lonnie Gordon

"Getting Closer" Haywoode

"I Heard A Rumour" Bananarama

"Whenever You Need Somebody" Rick Astley

"I'll Keep On Loving You" Princess

"Breakaway" Donna Summer

Some of their stuff is so deceptively infectious. On a sidenote, I find it very interesting that they sucked every ounce of soul out of the production of "If It Makes You Feel Good" that they did for Donna. Listening to the version they did for Princess, it's kind of hard to believe it's the same song.

falloff So true. The awful videos Kylie made were SAW's ideas. They wanted her to be the magnum opus of their cheese fest lol . She wanted to become another Madonna (an artist who's videos actually had thought) so she left them. Love the parrot btw

1. I like pretty much every song SAW produced and/or written for Kylie Minogue, Rick Ashley, Dead Or Alive, Princess, Mel & Kim, O'chi Brown, Donna Summers, Bananarama, & Boy Krazy.

2. Sabrina Salerno -- All Of Me
