Chante Moore Talks New Album, Moore is More

Just days after TV One announced that Chante Moore would be featured on the upcoming first season of R&B Divas: LA, Chante reveals that she's working on her first album in nearly five years, Moore is More. The project is due out April 23.

Chante says in a statement that the album draws from what she's experienced over the past 10 years. Many fans will remember that in 2011, Chante's ex-husband, singer Kenny Lattimore, confirmed their split after more than a decade of marriage.

Moore is More "is filled with intimate details and subject matters I cannot 'talk' about but, I HAVE TO sing about," Chante says.

This will be album number eight for Chante, who debuted with her 1992 release, Precious. Even after two decades in the music industry, Chante says that she's not done yet. "My heart is overwhelmed with excitement and joy in life and in my music! I have more to give my fans, more than meets the eye, more of the same and more than what you expect," she says.

Moore will share her journey on R&B Divas: LA, which is scheduled to premiere June 9. Right now, she's traveling on the Soulful Sista's tour with Regina Belle, Shirley Murdock and her R&B Divas: LA cast mate Kelly Price.

Hmm, I'm willing to give it a listen. I've always liked Chante, she has a beautiful voice.

Identity	On her first two albums, Precious and A Love Supreme, she delivered on the promise of being a good singer of lush ballads and mid-tempo pop songs. ''Chante's Got a Man'' was the sole highlight from album # 3, This Moment is Mine. I haven't followed her subsequent career closely.

I'm excited. Hopefully, she goes back to the super romantic, idealistic, sensual, lovey dovey, jazzy Chante' displayed on her first two albums. I know that people grow, and she's been through a few things. She probaly doesn't even view love in the same way. But I wouldn't mind hearing a mature version of that Chante'.
