In the eight years since R&B singer Charlene "Tweet" Keys released her most recent album, It's Me Again in 2005, there's been persistent reports that she would release her third studio album, Love, Tweet in the near future. Well, much has gone down in her life during those eight years, including behind the scenes record label maneuvers, personal drama and also -- thanks to Twitter -- the emergence of her stage name as a verb. But finally, after many years of not-so-patiently waiting from her fan base, Tweet has finally released some new music commercially.

Although Love , Tweet has been renamed Simply Tweet and is a five-song digital EP rather than a full album, fans will pretty much take what they can get at this point. And what they get here is a meticulously crafted, deliciously sung release that leaves you yearning for more.

There's that "Love, Tweet" album with the Burt Bacharach-like song is dying to be released.
