From sympathy to antipathy (and vice versa) your feelings on the artist and his/her/their music so diametrically changed?

I've gone both ways time and time again with Bruce Springsteen. I can't decide if I really like his music or not. Now I'm on the sympathy side.

Pink Floyd is one band I have a love/ hate relationship with. I love odd tracks like Echoes and most of Dark Side of the Moon, even some of their Syd Barrett era stuff, but only in small doses, otherwise they either annoy me with their over-earnestness and the below par vocals (post-Barrett) or I end up feeling the Barrett era was overrated and irritating in comparison to other 'psychedelic' artists of their era .
I have a similar relationship with a lot of Prog Rock and '70s Jazz Rock. I find it fascinating it in concept and cool in small doses, but it often takes itself too seriously or is drowned in dull, soulless virtuosity and overstretched ideas.

Madonna.
It will be a love-hate forever with us, I think. I have all her stuff and go through periods where it's all I listen to and periods where I'm so disenchanted by a recent release that I can't go back and listen to her earlier stuff, either.
But I've liked her since '83, and probably always will. "She made me glad to be a man"
