Joe Tex-Come In This House: The 1955-1962 Recordings?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AKV1J2M/ref=s9_simh_gw_p15_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1D2848EZ5MDF13Q86AP5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1389517282&pf_rd_i=507846

Does anyone have any idea what is on this? I looked for a tracklist but haven't had any luck. I'm guessing that it will be fairly similar to the previous compilation Get Way Back but I'm hoping that the new one includes "You Keep Her."

Must be a new release, I have this one.

Get Way Back: The 1950s Recordings

Maybe it will include his releases from Anna like "You Keep Her" "All I Could Do Was Cry" ect.

I just broke down and ordered the darn thing so I guess I'll find out what is on it when it arrives. lol I do not have anything older than the First on the Dial compilation so at least I won't have to worry about duplicating the tracks on the Get Way Back.

Thank you, daPrettyman. The track list looks very similar to get way back but with a handful of different songs. Still no "You Keep Her" which is what I was most hoping for.

You're welcome.

Is "You Keep Her" on any compilation? I don't think I've ever seen it on any.

It is track nine on this one. There seems to be some debate about if this disc is even legally issued or if it is a pirate version.

I see why. The artwork is strange. Especially for the back cover.

Thanks for the info.

It's an "official" bootleg. No record label is even listed.

Either Motown or Chess Records own the Anna/Checker material. They've never been oficially released before.

I'm lookng at you Hip-O-Select. You've released many Motown/Chess albums.

rialb, I'm scared Com Into this House might not even be an official release. I've never heard of the label Soul Jam and can't find anything on the web about it, and it was released earlier this month.

How are the notes in Get Way Back? Despite the track duplication I think I should probably pick that one up too.

It probably will not arrive for another week or two but when it does I will let you know how the packaging is and if it looks like a legitimate release. I'm still a little bummed that "You Keep Her" is not included.

10 page booklet with notes about all the tracks and early pics.

The disc arrived today. It looks pretty legitimate to me. I haven't had a chance to listen to it but the packaging is decent enough. There are several pages of liner notes and musician credits. I don't see any kind of parent company listed just "Soul Jam." It was made in the European Union.

If you haven't already got his early stuff this looks like a solid purchase but I think the only extras included that are not on Get Way Back are included on First on the Dial. Dang, collecting the early Joe Tex is complicated. lol

There looks to be a few on the collection that didn't make First On The Dial.
