She's certainly had a pretty varied career--- from Gospel, to R&B, to Pop.. she sang with Bobby Darin, Pearl Bailey, Ray Charles, Carole King, Tom Jones, Mick Jagger, Neil Young, The Blackbyrds, Billy Preston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joe Cocker, Burt Bacharach, The Brothers Johnson, Quincy Jones, Tori Amos, etc......
