Sly will be 69 years old March 15.

He looks like he had a hard life although he was very successful when he was young. sad

Do you guys think the Grammys or BET will ever give them a Lifetime achievement?

It just seems like he as well as Family Stone dont get enough credit.

He'll be 70, not 69.

You know what I had looked up his age and 69 was the age that popped up lol . I meant to put 70 but thanks for correction.

Vaetta 'Little Sister Vet' Stone/ Stewart, lead singer in short lived Family Stone spin-off group Little Sister (they had a couple of singles out in 1970, written and produced by big bro Sly), also backing singer on some of Sly's albums in the '70s.

Vet is now the lead figure in a band called Family Stone (formerly called Phunk Phamily Affair), which serves to carry on the legacy of Sly & the Family Stone. The band includes Cynthia Robinson and Rose Stone's daughter Lisa Stone among its members.

I guess the good thing about this is that all the original members are still alive and making music (in one way or another) so that's refreshing in a way.
