Great album.

I remember something funny that happened once with this album. I had the 45 of "Le Freak" and the sleeve is almost identical to the album cover. I had the sleeve laying around one day while the 45 was on the turntable. My mother picked it up and angrily asked what it was. I told her it was the sleeve for the 45 and then I showed her the 45. Well, Larry Flynt had another magazine out at the time in addition to "Huster" and the other magazine was called "Chic" with almost the same font that is on that 45 sleeve. She thought it was one of those pages that fell out of a "Chic" magazine where you can order a subscription and she wanted to know where the hell I got it.

So hard to choose between this album, Risque, We Are Family or diana. It's quite a legacy that Rodgers/Edwards/Thompson have left us.

It's my favorite Chic album.I remember waking up on Christmas morning 1978 and seeing this album under the Christmas tree I was thrilled!

"La Freak" and "I Want Your Love" are the highlights,of course......but I also love the ballad "At Last I Am Free"

It wasn't till recently that I found out "La Freak" was a fuck-you statement to Studio 54.

In my opinion,We Are Family is the best 'Chic' album of all....the best of all the albums that Niles and Bernard produced.
