The Old Electronic Music Thread Rules (yes, rules!) are as follows...
1. All genres, styles and varieties are accepted, allowed and encouraged, but please, nothing released after 1999.2. Lets try something new here. PLEASE do not post YouTube videos within the thread. Rather, post them as links, like this...[ url= ]Psychick Warriors ov Gaia - Exit 23 (Source)[ /url ]... with the video address inside the first set of brackets, after the = sign (but with no extra spaces, those were only included so you could see the example, not an actual link). You can also post links to videos on other sites in the same fashion.
This will make the thread load MUCH faster, particularly when Replying, and allow more people to take part because their browsers won't freeze (assuming there will ever be that many videos in the thread

You're due a spankin.
I've just sat staring at the lappy for 10 minutes, tryin to reply to ya in the 'Song' thread. It all crashed and burned and I'm blaming you. Specially as you know all about browser crashin and squirtin an everyfing. It's all your fault, definitely.
I'm gonna leave it there cos I'm a bit scared of ya. I've heard about you, makin people gush and squirt and quite frankly, I don't wanna squirt. Not just yet anyway.
So, I was gonna say, in amongst the youtubes if it woulda let me:
" 'Panties' already started a house thread. I've been chuckin some in there, wondered where you were. I lived in that neighbourhood too for a few years. The dark one with the Cargo Nets.
I reckon you'd have liked Lost.

What's "sazzy"?
I didn't know there was a house thread.

Sazzy = Sarcastic. I thought for a minute there you could mean they didn't sound better, which o course, they do. Far as my ears go anyway. I'm half asleep and very stoned and for a minute there... Nevermind. Don't mind me
I was gonna mention the house thread back in the 'song' thread, before you'd posted the 'this thread'
Now I should be asleep but I'm noddin my head to bleedin 202's and 303s and It's all your fault.
Fuck it, shall we go clubbin?

That bit about rules was keep the modern stuff in other threads!
Autechre is muh shit. I could do a thread with just their music. I already started to post side 2 of Lego Feet, but decided I'd focus on some other stuff because that seemed to easy and obvious (in my own head, anyway). I own nearly everything they've ever released and have already pre-ordered their upcoming album (180 gram 2x12").
Jeff Mills I sometimes love, sometimes think he's not trying very hard. I think my very favorite Jeff Mills release (at least of all the old ones) might be the X-103 Thera EP.
I'm bumpin' 'Magma' so loud that things in my living room are vibrating. My cat just got up, gave me a squinty eyed "FU!" look and walked out of the room.

Good luck with keepin the thread on topic and Autechre are the bollocks by the way. I haven't kept up with any of it for years though. I can do without Jeff Mills really. Had some bangin nights with him playin though.
Go easy on the poor squinty one. I've had cats for years myself. Thankfully I don't blast out the techno like I used to. They tend to love the ambient. You know they run the place anyway so best to keep em sweet.
Love em:

It's not that hard to keep a thread like this on topic when there's a bunch of other ones that can be used for the other stuff folks want to post. However, not trippin'.
My cats are WELL cared for. Spoiled beyond belief, really. Strangely, one of them HATES classical music!

Air Liquide! Yes!
My favorite Air Liquide jam EVER isn't on YouTube, though. Never has been. So I think I'm going to go fix that right now...

I think you're a bit mental.
I think you've got a funny taste in music too and I think I like it.
I've got barely any of my 'house' stuff on the lappy. It's all on vinyl. Haven't been arsed to track any of it down online or convert it, maybe I will.
Like I said, cats run the place. Show me one that aint spoilt. I've got one here on heat and she's driving me nuts.
I find it hard to keep anything on topic but I'll try not to post any Frank Sinatra or Bob Marley if I can. I wont talk about turnips and what time the last night bus goes past the magic roundabout either. Give ol fatty lumps a stroke (Pardon the pun) from me and turn it up.

I'm completely mental. Thanks!
Talking? I don't care about that. Talk about... whatever! Although I do truly hate turnips.
Music, on the other hand, old and electronic.
Dan Curtin. Cool. Liked that one. Don't think I've ever heard it before.
Autechre - Rsdio, nice one! Love how it takes forever getting there, and then kind of wanders off, like it forgot what it was doing. Tri Repetae is such a great album, though. I guess I'm going to have to post some AE.
Djax-Up-Beats.. I never could figure out how the hell you were supposed to say that and it drove me nuts. They released a HUGE amount of music, though. So much that I had to start ignoring some of it because you couldn't depend on it being great. This Stephen Brown track is quality, though.

OK, it's been aggravating me for years that this song wasn't on YouTube, so now it is...

Apologies to fatty lumps and squinty.
Edit: ^ Good girl, that's gorgeous.

OK, this first one isn't a direct AE track, but rather, a remix. I was trying to think of where I would place it if I was making a "I could only listen to 'this many' songs for the rest of my life" list. I got to thirty, which got me to thinking of a few of the other tracks that would be on that list. All three of these would definitely be in my top 30 all-time. I have, in fact, listened to 'Falling Free' on repeat for at least 90 minutes straight.
Autechre - Basscadet (Beaumonthannanttwomx) (1994)
Curve - Falling Free (Aphex Twin Remix) (1993)
Nine Inch Nails - At The Heart Of It All (1995) This is a fan video, and they did a good job, but personally I'd rather just listen to the song without the visual.
'At The Heart Of It All' is the name of the track, but it's actually an Aphex Twin "remix" that appears on 'Further Down The Spiral'. Like many Aphex Twin "remixes", it doesn't contain much of any original Nine Inch Nails music, but there's definitely some 'Closer' in there.

You should do something about that. Maybe jump on the night bus before it catches you.

Curve - Falling Free (Aphex Twin Remix) (1993)
That's me. That's me fucked. Love it doesn't go near. You can't go pulling out the Aphex and Air Liquide on me, I'll be here forever and flood the place some more.

Another one of the many great tracks on that first Trance Europe Express comp. (many of which were exclusives). I think I should re-upload this one in HD quality, becuase it's a bit muddy.
DIY - Washed Over By Mastemah (1993)
And now I'm going to watch 'Paul Williams - Still Alive'.

Sooo, just listen to all the OTHER tracks we've posted.

MJ Cole. One of my favourite musicians who helped usher in a soulful and jazzy period in UK electronic music - UK Garage.
Gerideau - Masquerade (MJ...ix) (1998)
Goldie - Believe (MJ Cole Remix) (1998)

Can we have some quality control in here please? The bar just dropped and dug a hole for itself.

Well that's a little harsh.
That being said, I haven't listened to the stuff arX posted yet. I'm doing some video making right now, and watching other videos at the same time makes everything sssssllooooooowweeerrrrrr.

Hey, where is that house music thread of which you spoke. I've looked for it, but I don't see it.
