Alabama Shakes

Slept on these guys way too long. I am currently addicted to this band. I have been playing their Boys & Girls non-stop lately. Totally original and LOVE the singers voice...she kinda reminds me of Janis Joplin a little. Anyone else into them? How are they live?

when the debt single came out I was addicted, then saw them on Jooles Holland and was more addicted!. Got the album and was disappointed, the band are great, her vocals are unique BUT so many tracks sound the same, there's only a few standouts. Will stick with them though as I think their next CD will be good!

They have a song on Silver Linings Playbook, 'All Alright' and its incredibly catchy. The song is on the soundtrack, and itunes has it as a buy album only. Yeah, not buying the whole album for one song...I am sure it will show up on their next album or a single at some point.

Same here, their a great live band w/ only a few buzz ready tracks. Hopefully the next time out they can produce a full album of great material. They have all the other elements in place.
