Nobody and I do mean NOBODY could put some deep Hurting-Soul on a person better than the Good Rev Green....That organ in his songs messes with your Mind & your Soul.....His voice and the lyrics he wrote are just too good for words...
Why do you guys think the Late Great mr. James Brown held on to his GodFather of Soul Crown for decades when Al Green had more mainstreem Soul-Hits that everybody was covering?
Is it because The Godfather came on the scene first and he earned that title due to his unreal stage performances? Nobody DARE challenge James as The King of Soul at anytime of his Career. He took that damn Crown to his grave (that's if his Crazy ass kids have buried him yet)...
