Pino Palladino - Bassist!

It appears, at least recently, there's been a problem getting this guy's sound right live (D'Angelo, The Who, etc).

Here are some clips where you can hear how good he really is.

With Paul Young (fretless)...

...Every Time You Go Away & I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down

His credit list is staggering to say the least.

Dude's not a one-trick pony stuck in one genre either.

However, whatever setting he's in, the music grooves.

Limey reincarnation of James Jamerson.

Pino, along with other 80's session Gods like Randy Jackson and Nathan East, proved that not all 80's pop had synth bass (David Foster was guilty of this, but he did it so well though LOL). And yeah, Pino is all over Paul Young's first 3 albums.

Heres an obscure one by duo Climie Fisher, Pino on fretless bass:-

Of special note is how tastefully mixed the keys and bass are on the fade.

Pino, with Michael McDonald...from Michael's Great "Blink of an Eye" album (1993)

Pino and drummer Manu Katche make a groovin' rhythm section!
