Fo' real. I was a talent show once and brother pulled back on the mic and as he dipped and was coming backup so was the mic, it hit him in the eye. He had to be rushed to the hospital.

Always enjoyed this TV performance from the show Music Scene (hosted by David Steinberg)...
Also, early on I acquired a James Brown decoder ring. so I understand every word he says! "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

No one smiled because they had to be on their a-game and they couldn't lose it in front of James Brown or he'll splay his fingers for fines.

Nobody could afford to have their money messed with.

Even when they tried to abide by the rules, he still fined them. So what does that tell you?

That's called, I'm fining you befo' you make a mistake.
Its just like when some parents gave their kids whuppin' befo' they did wrong.

I'm still saddened that I never got the opportunity to see him, I remember being like 10-12 years old and always asking my mother if she knew if he was coming to Sweden, which of course he didn't in the 00s and then he died. His death had a similar effect like Mjs death had in my life... When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix

YEEEESSSSSS @ 2:55 is my absolute fav.....At the Musicology concert Maceo did It's a Wonderful World standing right in front of me. It's my favorite from Mr. Armstrong.....I was in tears because I had to consume the opportunity of seeing Prince, witnessing Maceo who stood next to the Godfather and on top of that his rendition of an Armstrong gem.....wheeeeewwwww I cannot even type the right fucking words but I hope you get what I'm saying.
I HAD Pandora streaming on my Ipad and a Lil Wayne song came on right as I'm watching this....something felt SOOOOOOO wrong at that very second! "A Man Can't Ride Your Back Unless It's Bent" MLK 4/3/68
