I've seen her twice so far and if I go see her one more time....Beyonce will officially be the female artist I personally have seen live the most lol eek

Anyways looks like she's stopping by my town again so I'll try to get tickets lol. Ok it's random but I jumped&yelled the whole time when I was at her show last time I actually lost 1lb by just being at her concert and it wasn't water weight, I never gained it back lol

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you wanna get in shape, GO SEE BEY LOL

I was hyper at the first show and crying in tears at the second cause mj had just died and there were many tributes before and during the show. I was wearing a shirt of his and sobbing

yasss i cried at her concert in houston after mj died

Yeah I imagine that was pretty emotional! I saw her in may of 2009 and I was so hyped over MJs comeback, so it's kinda bittersweet for me to remember that year.

- A sidenote tho The org seems to have turned to Beyonce.org lol, never read so much on beyonce in my life and I've been following her music career since the DC days lol...

Sorry to hear that sad Both times I saw her was during her B'day Experience tour and this was way before MJ passed away. (...and on top of that I wasn't even a MJ fan back then...) I did watch her MJ tribute online and it looked very emotional and heartfelt, I think if I was there I would've done the same

I went to B'day and was extremely pleased and on my feet. I swore I would not pay for shows unless it was for my favourite veterans and though I do think she's overrated, I knew she was at her peak and I would miss a good show if I didn't go, and I was right.

The second show was the Sasha Fierce tour and I wasn't going to go, but nailed a ticket last minute when I heard about Halo. And the two opening acts did mj tributes too and talked about him, but halfway through Halo I couldn't stop crying and felt I would faint if I didn't leave and just left the show. During the first tribute I was crying so hard , and the woman next to me started talking to me about mj and it turned out she had seen him years ago during the Bad tour though I think she mixed it up with Victory cause the stop she said she went to was not visited during Bad when I checked and they were both in the 80's.

Ehm I doubt it, in that case it would be Marie Antoinette the queen of France in the 18th century that should sue every person that has copied and been inspired by her smile! She's still a style icon 300 years later...

They say pop royalty Beyonce Knowles and Michael Jackson were good friends before he passed away in 2009. Here’s a never-before-seen photo of them together.

Were they honestly good friends or not? I know they were chummy onstage in 2003 and 2006 at award shows, but she was copping an attitude in 2003 and not acting like her usual self about mj.

^^ Most people were downplaying their association or admiration of MJ during 2003-2005.

I doubt they were ever good friends. They were probably just acquaintances.

That night the likes of diddy and Alicia keys had his back. Usher and Ciara were vocal about their fandom too, and so was Madonna.

And I seen how bad she had it for mike before she dated jay z. Acted starstruck in every interview in her dc days

I felt that she was very supportive of Mike during those years, it's just in recent times - that I don't get the same vibe anymore. Like I said on the MJ thread , I just think she's on that Prince thing(which ofc isnt a bad thing cool ) and it always seem as if someone likes Prince they gotta put down MJ for some reason, I never understood that espcially in the media.

She needs to sit her idea stealing behind down and raise her child. She's so proud of her daughter being able to do that stupid uh-oh hand jesture. That's all we need is another little girl knowing how to shake her butt before reading a book.

Well we know the truth, she was a lifelong mj fan, she didn't hide it before. Maybe she's simply moved on after his death though it's nice she said she studied his performance. In fact, his Dangerous tour influences were also seen at bday and all over her performance. Maybe she feels she could relate to prince as an adult like I could now, and his catalogue is huge! Even I don't have everything though I have a of his CDs

But she is also copying everything he did! Inauguration and superbowl and Pepsi in the same year as him in 93 for example! Giving herself artist of the millennium at the billboards which she totally bought. She used to joke she's mj, looks like she started believing it and became an appropriater

And though I prefer mj, I would be lying if I said prince didn't innovate a sound which may have also inspired mj as he inspired prince as a boy I'm sure.

You are right! I think it's understandable in some ways that she relates to Prince's music, and yes his music catologue is HUGE (I don't know how much Prince music I have on my computer, unreleased songs and so on) but I mostly listen to Prince's 80s work and early 90s. I also think that Beyonce can't relate to MJs 90s work because it's pretty dark and Beyonce has never really dealt with big issues in her life. That's one of the aspects that is kinda boring about Bey, that we never see another side of her, it would be interesting to hear something that's not just about being an independent women, dancing at the clubs, having fun or falling out of love/falling in love. I think Prince and MJ both influenced current music, but I don't see them being inspired by each other that much. Superfly Sister is the closest Mike came of being inspired by Prince, but it's not surprising since the producer to that song is a Prince-wannabe lol. I like it tho ;D Whats your fav Bey era btw?

My favourite Beyonce era was probably B'Day, though I wasn't feeling the full CD until the rerelease though I was really feeling the singles and thought musically overall it was a stronger set of songs than the overrated Dangerously in Love though I only liked that for the releases and thought she was getting too much credit. I think I wore out B'Day though, so maybe Sasha Fierce is the one I like, though for the tour, def B'day

I notice Beyonce being into Jacksons, OTW and Thriller when being into MJ, yet I see elements of Bad, Dangerous and HIStory in her dancing and performances eg. the aviator glasses though I know those are from OTW/Victory, the Dangerous tour stage effects, and the roboglove in single ladies as well as what she wore when performing it, similar to the gold space outfit during HIStory, as well as the choreography in the dark Ring The Alarm resembling Jam (and Rhythm Nation). And I have a feeling she was inspired by Man In the Mirror completely when making that I Was Here video, great song BTW. And if you ask me, she has dealt with big issues but puts up a very good front. Her former band members would compare the father to Joseph Jackson when he was making them work too hard, and he cheated on the mom and impregnated someone else not too long ago

Really? That was my fav Beyonce era as well, I just loved the imagery and the overall sound of that album. That's when I felt she was finally being herself if that makes sense. I went to see the Sasha Fierce tour so I also like that era, but musically I felt that album was bland and kinda boring (it had some good songs and some bad), I had to actually go to the concert to like certain songs from that album.

Yes you are right! I've noticed the same things you have, it's quite obvious. While I do agree that she has been through stuff, which is what I used to tell people (they wouldn't believe me- she's miss perfect to most people lol) it's not reflected in her music whatsoever, there's no anger nor bitterness in her music. When I write music, I don't always reflect my anger by writing an angry song, but you can feel the anger through the music and the overall sound and I'm certainly not comparing myself with an established artist, but I think her producers / beyonce lacks that sense of knowing how to put those emotions into her work. I would love to hear for once a song where she deals with infedelity in a more mature way and not just in the form of a juvenile song, like for instance Resentment or Best thing I never had. It could obviously deal with something else, but as long as it is written more age appropiate because she's not in her 20s anymore.

By now, you've heard the announcement for the upcoming "The Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour. And she also just dropped her television ad for the 4 dates in London this May. Royal inspired of course:

Yeah as mj fans, we will notice these things, and especially cause I've seen her stan for him in her earlier days, so I always saw her as one of us though sometimes I questioned her attitude too. I used to wonder how she could sing about all those things too when she's happy with Jay Z and thought she was not being genuine about her feelings like a lot of artists that write, but she doesn't write most of her songs like a long time ago though the emotions are there sometimes. I really felt B'Day was more her than Dangerously in Love too, I could hear her MJ, Prince, Janet and other funk influences all over it and her band was amazing at the show, as was she! It took awhile to get into Sasha but I did like it.

I just checked out 4 with fresh ears for the songs I didn't know, or may have heard a year ago and didn't care for, read the lyrics and they are quite relatable to feelings I've experienced and though she could sing, sometimes I felt she was trying too hard to sound other than what she's like though I liked reading about the creative process of making the album and could hear the influences she cited. It's easier liking her when she's not full of herself getting made up awards like artist of the millenium you know lol but yeah, I could relate to the songs and am wondering now if I should have gotten tour tickets or not, but if she's lip synching and it's not going to change much (sasha was not too different from b'day though I loved hearing the new songs) then it's not worth it.

I did give Dangerously in Love a try over the years and aside from the singles, I still don't like it at all. Overrated album.

I think her sister is really cool and she should write more songs with her in the future.

At 9.42am, Ticketmaster UK posted on Twitter to tell hopeful fans tickets had gone.

The message said: "And we're out - All dates for @Beyonce now sold out. Very few tickets were made available for today's general sale after busy presales. (sic)"

Disappointed fans took to the microblogging site to vent their frustration at being unable to secure tickets.

Olympic swimmer Rebecca Addlington wrote: "3 computers, refreshing like crazy but no beyonce tickets! Hope anyone else trying has had more success!"
@missellengaga said: "This beyonce ticket lark has been bloody ridiculous, too many tickets were given for presale so next to none for general sale, yup fair."

Other fans criticized quick resales, with some tickets appearing on eBay for hundreds of pounds.
@lucyGlassbrook said: "All you b*llends who bought #beyonce tickets and sell them on ebay for £500 are D**KHEADS. Thanks for ruining a lot of peoples chances."

@ciarafarren added: "Pretty sure beyonce tickets were sold out before they went on sale."

The Mrs Carter Show World Tour kicks off at the LG Arena in Birmingham on April 26.
