The Benefit Concert Gladys is booked for here in Columbia, SC is officially sold out. I knew I wouldn’t be able to attend because of an engagement so I decided to surprise my Mother & Step-Dad with 2 Orchestra seat tickets. They grew up on Gladys but they’ve never witnessed her Unforgettable Elegant, Rich Voice LIVE. I’ve seen The Empress a few times when I lived in The ATL and they are in for a treat….I wanted to get them seats as close to the front of the stage as possible but I didn’t find out about her show until last month AFTER the freaking good seats were being scooped up.

Did anybody catch Gladys singing @ The NAACP Image Awards last Friday? She looked absolutely beautiful and you could hear her beautiful voice singing into a dead-Mic for about 60-seconds, then the back-stage crew got it right. Gladys paid tribute to the Celebs we lost. She deserved the standing ovation she received..Nobody sings like that woman.
