Five versions of songs from the series have never had an official release to now. Well, still they have never been issued on CD.
Jackson 5ive Theme Song I Want You Back Goin' Back to Indiana The Young Folks She's Good PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

Well, all these songs have been remastered, so you'll hear the original album tracks.

What do you mean original album tracks? The tracks from the album and cartoon differ. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Honestly, I think it'll be the album tracks from what I heard on the preview video clip on the website.

She's in Russia, english is not her first language. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I really don't know if I should buy it or just watch them online. I went crazy when I first heard the announcement, but swore off mj products though it's nothing against him as an artist or person.

The picture is much clearer and bolder than what you've been watching online.

I haven't seen them online, I'm sure the new ones will be uploaded. I'm tired of spending on the jacksons and then getting mad at them and then being okay again, it feels like some freaking abusive relationship cause of how sad I get I'm never going to see mj and how this is just draining me financially too and how his family pisses me off. Have to stop it somehow. [Edited 1/7/13 9:10am]

I think it is special enough that they released the cartoon on a modern format for home purchase, and put in work cleaning up the film.

Do you know where they are going to be releasing the DVD?
Is it going to be a at a specific store?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
The set's gonna be released everywhere. Just pick a website and type up Jackson 5ive and you can't miss.

Is MJ tired yet of his corpse getting beaten for the last buck?
Meanwhile, I will wonder why Apple hasn't remastered/released the Beatles cartoon on DVD.

I've read that the group didn't care for the cartoon's animation. Maybe that has something to do with it. Paul wanted to release the song Carnival Of Light, but George and Ringo vetoed it. I guess Yoko has some input too. The Let It Be movie has not been re-released either, but Magical Mystery Tour has recently been released as a box set. Most of us wanted to see this shit on DVD before MJ passed.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Well, Classic Media was able to buy only small porton of the Rankin/Bass library (which features the J5 cartoon).
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I am guessing the licensing will run out too.. this is our only chance to get this cartoon.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Nope. They own the 1967-74 Rankin/Bass and most of the Filmation library.
