It took a long time for me to get into Frank Zappa. For the longest time I felt a lot his music was too cartoonish. I just didn't understand him. As i got older i was able to get past what i thought was silliness( mainly in his lyrics) and realise that the guy was(is) a genius. He was(is) one of the most creative and talented musicians ever. As for his lyrics, i no longer think they're silly but they are most definitely different.

Also the good thing about Zappa is he has so much damn music and his career has expanded so many decades. If a person doesn't like one album or one period in his career they can just check out another. If i was on a island and i could only take 3 artists music i would probably take Frank, Prince and Todd Rundgren's stuff. Them three right there, that would last a long while.

I know right? It's gonna take me years to find and listen to every single album and maybe unreleased stuff (he has some right?) lol. Something I look forward to haha.
