Maxwell is due to drop the second instalment of his Summers trilogy in the coming months, and to build interest for the project, he’s unveiled a ‘partial tracklist’ for our viewing.

He had a relatively quiet 2012, after cancelling a summer tour of the U.S. due to damaged vocal chords, but hopefully 2013 will be a better year.

The tracklist for Summers features the single “Of All Kind,” which was meant to drop last year, and six more new tracks, which will hopefully be padded out with a few more songs in the coming weeks and months.

Just release it, Maxwell.

He really needs to stop teasing and put out the damn album already. I guess this is his way of creating a buzz.

The album has been pushed back countless times. I respect the fact that certain circumstances may be out of his control, but come on man.

I respect his need for privacy. Maxwell, get healthy with wathever is going on with your throat, knock the album release and tour out, go back to living in obscurity as you please, and be happy.

He has some VERY loyal fans, but damn he's pushing even their attention spans.

Yeah she did and it's stuff like this that makes you wonder why anyone keeps hanging around for any of the '90s soul artists to put anything out...

I love Maxwell but i'm not even anticipating this now. Of course i'm interested but I can wait. It will come out when it's meant to come out, he's not the only artist I like

It makes no sense...why put out a damn partial track list? What the hell else am I going to do with a track list besides wipe my ass with it? He should take some tips from Miguel and put some 3 track EP's or something. To me, that would be giving me MORE than just some names of some damn songs. I swear, Maxwell needs a good bitch slap. Where's Ike Turner when you need him?

I get his Twitter feed on Facebook and I'm starting to get convinced the guy is either nuts or on drugs. He just has no idea how to interact on social networks.

He's not just posted a "partial tracklist", but also totally pointless 15-30 sec. previews of an intro to a song (yeah, he's posted several clips of the same damn intro - recorded with a microphone from his computer speakers). Not to mention he made a mock-up of the album cover and then only a little bit later posted something like "LOL that's not the real album cover, did you really think it is, love y'all". Now, that image had already been linked to several music sites by that point. Yeah, really cool.

Are you serious? According to what you are saying he's doing, he sounds koo koo for cocoa puffs.

Now he finally posted a proper preview clip of "Gods" (1+ min). Sounds a little bit like Pretty Wings, I guess. More electronic though.

It could be that he was just trying to load the clip himself to the Internet, but couldn't really do it himself. The new preview clip does the job.

But yeah, sometimes he posts really random stuff that doesn't make much sense. He could be a drinker too, I don't know.

I don't know about drugs yet but I wouldn't put it past him to be a drunk. Then again it's all speculation.

Definitely just speculation.

But I think he's the type of a person that just "loses" it sometimes. Like an overly sensitive, suffers from heavy depression periodically and so on.

The new song sounds good anyway. I think it's better than the new Prince or Bowie stuff we've heard over the last couple of days.
