Were Mariah and Randy "forcing" her to be a country singer? Or were they "helping" her?

i agree with Nicki, and i get the point she was making.

Mariah/Randy didn't say "Your voice is only good for Country music"; they said "Your voice is naturally good for Country music."

The girl didn't say "I do not want to do country music" when Keith pressed her (the person Nicki really should have gone after because he started the conversation and acted like a douche when the girl didn't give him the answer he wanted); she said "I see myself as soulful Country."

I don't see what the problem is. Nicki needs to calm down. If all she wants to say is "You have a nice voice" then that's her problem. She should be more comfortable giving her professional opinion. But then again... she shouldn't be there

I feel sorry for the country guy. I think what everyone is missing is the "editing" and the pur fakeness of these arguments they have. To me for Randy to be in this he has no more music cred to me, and well Mariah and Niki are just plain charades at this point.

Point is this show is irrelavant anymore, it had its day, its NOT making anymore stars, its done, its now a traveling side show with mariah and nicki and the talent who cares at this point. Also for this girl to say she did "the country thing" is stupid, what is she 2o something years old? where has she done country in her backyard? and the church sing alongs? give me a break with comments like that, WILLIE NELSON can say he has done that country thing not her

She is so full of herself it doesnt even make sense. I agree with Mariah and Randy.

Just because you sing a soul song does not make your voice soulful. Her voice is better suited for country. I dont get how that was insulting her. At the end of the day, if she wants to sing Marvin Gaye she can BUT her voice is still better for country.

Nikki should have gone after Keith because he was the one that started the whole arguement and made a big deal about her "doing the country thing before the soul" He took offense to that because his a country singer. They ALL are full of themselves to be honest.

The AI contestant clearly had a "twang" going on there. The other judges were just being honest. I haven't watched AI in years, and things like this prevent me from doing so again.

I turned off all of the tv talent shows. I watched X Factor the first season, but stopped after the obvious changes for ratings. Ugh. I tried to watch The Voice one time, and they kicked off the strong voiced people, and kept the weak people with little talent. Adam couldn't even clap on beat. I was done.
