Shows how much attention I paid to them. They never had enough uptempo jams to keep me interested

Personally I was more into Color Me Badd than Boyz II Men during that time. But I have their remix album and the second album II. I liked New Kids well enough, but I never bought any of their dolls, lamps, lunch kits, bedsheets, and the other stuff that was everywhere. lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Sad to see Boyz II Men in this state of affairs, but 90s artists need to stay active as much as possible and they have bills to pay as well.

According to what they said yesterday, Boyz II Men have a residency to perform in Las Vegas, but they had been talking to NKOTB for a few years about working together. I don't see why folks see this tour as a bad thing. It's not like they have to do it, because of the Vegas show. They will reach a bigger audience with the New Kids than they would by themselves. That's even more so for 98 Degrees. New Kids draw a big audience.

I have not a clue why, ask me if I know any of there songs. lol

I wouldnt mine seeing Boys II Men though.

Yeah, it was as if Motown kinda made them stay in the slow/pop mode of things. They had a few mid-tempo songs on their albums, but they didn't perform as well as the ballads did on the charts. I used to love "Thank You" and "Symphin."

You are a bit too young to remember. They were HUGE....kinda like Beiber is today. "The Right Stuff," "Hangin' Tough," "Please Don't Go Girl," and "This One's For The Children" were off tha chain. lol

Boyz seemed more like Adult Contemporary than R&B to me. But I wasn't into much of the popular R&B of the time.

What chu mean NKOTB fanbase and songs were more widely recieved plus they are the indeed older group..probably got more hits too (if not the same amount). Enough to fill one album of singles. Plus there are 2 of Boys II Men missing

Now they are down to two? Who left this time? I bet it was Nathan.

98 degrees and boyz 2 men haven even put out a decent album in years

at least New Kids put out a decent album in 2008, which was actually quite good

the best work they did was the 94 face the music album.

I forgot about that song. I don't think I've heard it since it was originally out.

I don't hear it much either. I occasionally hear it on 80s on 8 on XM (especially when they do the countdown shows from that year).

There's a local light rock station that plays Christmas songs only during December up till the 25th. I haven't heard it on there. I guess technically it isn't a Christmas song, but neither is My Favorite Things, and it gets played. lol Now that I think about it, I haven't heard Funky Funky Christmas either. I used to hear that on the radio constantly when it came out.

I know what you mean.Yes they can sing but their jamz are too slow and generic for me. I wish they did more stuff like Motown Philly! Was that the title? Lol!

The same can be said about Nsync and BSB, they sold crazy amounts of records but their music is geared towards teeny boppers whereas Boyz II Men are niche market of adult R B.

"Motown Philly" > "Step By Step"

I'm going !!
Saw BIIM in 2007 at a small club in baltimore a month after my Mom passed away.
When they sang A song for mama I bout had a nervous breakdown right there in the club. I met them after the show and they were really nice and gave me hugs.

NKOTB album face the music stays in my iTunes rotation. Their best album
