This is actually the version Whitney covered. If it wasn't for Dolly giving them the last lyric, Whitney's version wouldn't have been as epic as it was. | |

It's amazing how the song was transformed from a country song to a genre-blurring pop anthem... the 1992 version arranged it as a pop ballad so well. You just think about it and go "wow..."
That said, Linda's version is kinda flat compared to Dolly and Whitney. | |
