Damn shame how they keep refusing to reissue Vanity's two albums. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Just got the news today .....the cds will be released in Japan 27 March 2013 but they are not cheap 2800 Yen each so probably around the $40 mark. [Edited 1/15/13 12:14pm]

I am sure Vanity has no say in this. They probably feel there is no audience for her two solo cds. Just like I don't think Vanity 6's cd has ever been reissued. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I don't know about that. There has been a demand for her solo titles to be reissued. I don't understand why "Street Songs" continues to be reissued (this is like the 4th or 5th reissue?). Why would anyone pay $40 for that title when they can go to Walmart or Best Buy and pay $5 for the remastered, expanded version?
Besides, reissue labels are always reissuing titles and artists from the 70's and 80's that I've never heard of and albums that barely charted during their original release. So it's not as much about the demand. It's about what the labels or owners of the masters are willing to make available. I once posed the question to someone at FTG and BBR, asking them why reissue what's already out there and readily available? They both stated to me it all boils down to what the labels are willing to clear. There are many titles out there that are in extreme high demand and they are itching to release them but the labels that own the masters just aren't willing to cooperate when it comes to those titles. Just read on facebook that FTG has requested licensing for those Vanity albums so it may actually happen. But, because the recordings are owned by Universal, it could be a loooong while. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
