This is the perfect introduction and just about all of the Sam and Dave you would ever need but unfortunately it is out of print. You can easily find used copies but they are usually a bit expensive.

This one has quite a few less tracks but it is fairly affordable and gives you a decent sampling of their work.

They don't have very many albums, maybe you should just buy all of the studio albums? I don't have these ones but they collect their first four Atlantic albums and feature bonus tracks and I believe they feature just about all of their prime years.

If you just want an affordable sampler that features most of their hits try this.

I would probably recommend buying the two twofers. They were fairly consistent and if you like the hits I'm sure you will find plenty of album tracks that you like.

I loooooved Soul Man so much as a kid, I have it on a compilation of 60's songs that my teacher used to play in gym. I liked it so much and bought my own copy.

I keep making a note to myself to check them out but keep forgetting. I really like their sound as well.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

My relatives had their records, but I'm mostly familiar with their hits.

Makes me smile to know there are still people just being introduced to acts that I grew up with and even better to know you are appreciating them.

If Sam and Dave are new to you, you might try Wilson Pickett, Joe Tex and Otis Redding too. This was the real shiz from back in the day.
