i'm very excited. i really enjoyed both of his albums. have seen one of his shows on dvd, and that was a really great show. a great entertainer. i hope there will be a new record and maybe a tour, would love to see him live. he isn't the best singer or dancer, but he sure got some talent and he definitely is a great entertainer

Are the Neptunes going to be helping with beats on this one? or is all going to be Timberland?

Depending on the producers this could be some good material possibly.

I liked his music better with Pharrell William's than Tlmbaland. When he gave him the tracks that we're intended for MJ on Justin's first album.

Take out the first 35 seconds and the lame rap crap and you have a rather nice little old time standard pop song. Something sorely missing today.

He's had a string of flops. That Clint Eastwood movie, the bad teacher thing with Cameron Diaz, and that friends with benefits thing with Mila Kunis. This after it was rumored he ruined his chances for a best supporting actor Oscar nomination for The Social Network by telling anyone within earshot that he deserved it. The critical reaction to that performance HAD to be payola!

But he's professional, and seems to have that X factor, like Chris Brown's smile or Rihanna's "coolness". If you got it you got it I guess.

I don't actually care, but people keep mentioning it so I'm quoting your post in my response.

Justin Timberlake has only been the "star" of one movie, that being 'Friends With Benefits'. That movie made more than four times it's budget in the theater, before home video sales and rental money even entered the picture. Most movies are profitable when they make around twice their budget, no matter where the money is coming from. Otherwise, regardless of how much the movies he's been in have made, he's not carrying the movies. Nobody is holding the box office gross of the movies his been in against him, or claiming he is responsible, even though nearly all of them have been hugely succesful. He's a character actor guest star who regularly gets singled out as one of the best things about the movies he's in. He could do that for the rest of his life WHILE still making music.

And yeah, I'm not a Timberlake hater. I'm not actually sure why anybody hates on the guy post N'Sync, becasue that was the last annoying shit the guy did as far as I'm concerned. And dude didn't even know better - he was just a kid in the Disney/boy band machine.

Edit: OK, he was the star of 'In Time', too, which also made more than four times it's budget (and was better than most people gave it credit for).

I like the song, but I agree that it's not anything I haven't heard before. Timbaland seems to be slippin' slowly downhill a little bit since the last Timberlake album.

Good song. I like it. But not as good as his last debut single, Sexyback. The odds are against JT topping his last album in sales.

Was hoping he would branch away from Timbaland on this album but I guess that will happen with the next one...

Funky single but would have been better w/out the Jay-Z appearance, IMHO. Doesn't really add anything to the song.

When you don't make an album for 7 years, the shit you come back with needs to be exceptional. This is not. Not a bad album track though.

One would think after 7 years of possibly (probably) writing and recording off and on, he would have at least one track to unleash that is incredible. This isn't a good sign.

Sounds more like a B-side to Sexyback. This track just doesn't hit as hard as that.

Again, it's not bad and I do like it. I will be buying his album. But the problem is, this is going to be like what BAD was to Thriller. The immediate comparisons and lengthy time off and in the end, he will never top what he did with his last album. Doesn't mean he still can't come out with some great material though.

Here's hoping the album is funky.
