Legendary guitar icon Jeff Beck teams up with blue-eyed soul songstress Joss Stone for a one-off gig at Mama Stones on Thursday, Dec. 13th. The joint that Joss acquired for her Mum- Wendy Joseph in 2009. Beck has paired with Stone on American Idol on the the song "I Put A Spell On You" from his Grammy winning album EMOTION & COMMOTION in 2010. She has joined him on stage in Germany for a tv show, plus live concert appearances on about 4 occasions, including doing "People Get Ready" on his dvd PERFORMING THIS WEEK -LIVE AT RONNIE SCOTT'S. Stone also appeared on the album cut "There's No Other Me" from EMOTION & COMMOTION, and Beck appeared on her "Parallel Lines" track from Stone's COLOUR ME FREE album.

Speaking of Jeff Beck, he was in Washington DC on December 1st and 2nd for activities related to the Kennedy Center Honors, where he was one of the tributers to honoree Buddy Guy, Beck wore a tuxedo to the White House for a reception where honorees David Letterman, Led Zeppelin, Dustin Hoffman and Natalia Makarova were being feted by President Obama. At the performance Beck did "I'd Rather Go Blind" with singer Beth Hart.

The Kennedy Center Honors airs on Dec. 26th at 8PM EST on CBS TV.

The week before he guested on the tune "Goin' Down" with The Rolling Stones at their tour opener at the O2 Arena in London. Beck is set to be one of the performers at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 4 in NYC at Madison Square Gardens on April 12 and 13th, 2013. Just prior to that he is supposed to do a mini tour that will include three nights at Long Island's Paramount Theatre in Huntington, NY. (Two are already sold out).

Jeff Beck and Joss Stone performed last night at Mama Stone's in Exeter, UK. The set included some Jeff Beck nuggets like "Led Boots", "Blue Wind" and "The Pump" and Joss sang on "I Put A Spell On You", "There's No Other Me", "Cry Me A River", "Little Wing", "Fell In Love With A Boy" and "People Get Ready". The bassist was longtime Stone bassist Pete Iannacone, drummer Jonathan Joseph (also Stone's stepfather and co-owner of Mama Stone's), the keyboards player is Ray Angy.

The format of this forum is needlessly confusing and irritating as hell. But, the content is great, I must admit. Anyway, I really appreciate the above post. I found the Jeff Beck/Joss Stone version of "There's No Other Me" on YouTube and was blown away by it. I'm a fan of both and this is meybe my favorite J. Stone song now. Just tremendous. Thanks again!
