How would you rate Jon Bon Jovi as a singer?

Average, good for his genre or good?

I would say he is pretty good. He can still hit high notes & sings just like he did back in the day.

So i would say yes cool

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Yeah he and the band really never get props for anything they do. As a band they have one of the best Number 2 guys in a band with Sambora, and i might add a great guitarist who gets little praise, David Bryan is a really good player, he does lots of styles and has done theatre and musicals too. Tico is pretty damn good drummer, has great timing, overall a really tight sounding band and has gotten tighter. And Jon as a vocalist, very underrated in fact never really even rated, he actually had issues very early on where HE thought the voice was gone, it was during the New Jersey era/tours, it was a bad time, he actually had to have injections of steroids to strengthen the chords to avoid cancelling shows.

Hits really high notes still, check them on the last dvd Live at Madison Square Garden and him nailing this 15 second high note on "you want to make a memory"

I would say average now.... His voice is getting weaker as he is getting older... Sambora has to sing some of the classics live now because Jon can't.

Too bad Jon won't let richie have a song or two on in album live as richie is a very underrated singer with a powerful voice! IMO

Very good for his genre of music.

Not a big fan of his music. It's too "80's hair band" for me, but he seems like a good guy and his voice is still strong.
