Update: Chrisette Michele Drops Her Latest Mixtape
November 3, 2012
Chrisette Michele's new mixtape, Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation, will be available for download on December 8. Before then though, fans will have a chance to check out Chrisette's new video for the set's first single, "Charades."
"Derek Blanks and I put together a lil video 4 you guys," Chrisette tweeted on Thursday, revealing that photographer Derek directed the project. "We wanna release it Monday as part 1 of the 'Audiovisual Presentation' Is that ok?"
A behind-the-scenes clip from the "Charades" set shows Chrisette in front of the camera, nuzzling with her leading man.
The singer shows off her funky, hi-top fade haircut. It's not the first time that Chrisette's donned a blonde 'do, though. She shared a photo of herself with a similar hairstyle, writing that the photo had been taken "100 years before i was 'famous'."

Hmm, she's definitely got me curious. Love this new look she's got too. It's light years away from what she looked like when her first album was released. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |

Chrisette Michele celebrates her 30th birthday with the release of her new mixtape Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation.
The free download features nine tracks with appearances from 2 Chainz, Wale, Robert Glasper, Bilal, and her brother Lem Payne. Inspired by Audrey Hepburn, the R&B songstress traveled to Europe earlier this fall to learn more about the Hollywood screen legend.
“This journey is a special expression of my truest creativity,” tweeted Chrisette. “I’m going to show you how inspired I truly am by a lady I really adore.”
She has also been in the studio recording Better, the follow-up to her 2010 album Let Freedom Reign. (Article)
