The Pakers is the best they have going on BET. I dont see BET reviving. Its been a little over a decade and they have continued to operate on the same formula. They would have to change ALOT, starting with that ghetto mess of an award show and since Viacom now owns it, I dont see it making significant changes. TV One is the new BET, it is what it is.

The Parkers, I couldn't stand that show.

My Wife and Kids is easily the best show on the network, easily.

I think Damon is funny (All the Wayans are) and I agree with Mo' Nique in comparision BUT she was funny on The Parkers lol I prefer her doing that than doing stand up

Kim and Andelle (RIP) were what made the show and Prof. Olgavie. I could never get with Mo'Nique.

They should have gave Adele Givens her own show.

Everyone on My Wife and Kids were funny, down to Tony, and even Franklin, lol .

Andelle R.I.P. her passing was so sad sad

Maybe I need to watch more episodes of My Wife Kids because it has never held my interest. I think the Wayan Brothers show is more funnier

You guys are neglecting the best thing on BET hands down: "The Game"!

And "Let's Stay Together" has come into it's own after a shaky first year.

"The Game" is one confident dramedy.

Yes, Melanie MADE that show. Even though they turned her into a boring house wife the last two seasons (until the very end), before she was an ambitious and driven woman.

They made her Kelly Pitts version 2.

Now that she's gone I don't even know if I'm gonna watch. Lauren London is going to be on next season. barf

Yeah the Melanie-Derwin relationship was the heart of the show but maybe they'll explore the relationship I cared for more: Derwin-Janae.

Plus sassy Brandy will be back and my sister LOVES Laura London since "ATL".

Maybe they'll make the quarterback that Derwin hates a regular and they can explore whatever relationship he has. Sure to be drama there considering how arrogant he is.

Honestly I don't have a problem with Lauren London, I just think she's a terrible actress and she has a baby with Lil' Wayne, which proves she's just a lucky hoodrat..but I digress.

Brandy's character grew on me, I think she's good for Jason's arrogant ass. She isn't a push over like Kelly was.

I would love for Quan to get more airtime, he's sooooo sexy to me. Remember that mess Derwin pulled by missing that block? I was like no this ninja just didn't get somebody hurt. Derwin acts like a straight up bitch sometimes. lol

Yes they have to at least address that this season. I feel myself yelling, "Derwin, the man don't like you! Move on!"

But I think he'd be good for the show. I say make him and his girl the new center of the show since Derwin will be solo this year. Unless they're thinking of hooking him up with Lauren.

Word on the street is Tia will have a couple episodes so they can send her character off, but I don't kow how true it is because there was picture a while back of the cast (minus Tia) celebrating 100 episodes of 'The Game.'

Also rumored is that Lauren will be the love interest of some other new character, an ivy league graduate that made it to the pros or something like that.

Derwin was so thirsty for Quan's friendship lol. I'm like dude, he don't like you! lol

Last time I watch BET with any regularity was like a decade ago. They had a show call "UNCUT" which was played in the middle of the night.

Not bad.

Well, at least I will be looking forward to seeing something on BET next year:

NEW YORK (AP) — Actress Halle Berry and musician Chaka Khan will be honored at the 2013 BET Honors.

The network announced Thursday that basketball star Lisa Leslie, music executive Clarence Avant and religious leader T.D. Jakes will also be celebrated at the Jan. 12 event in Washington at the Warner Theatre. The special airs Feb. 11.

BET Honors highlights African Americans performing at top levels in the areas of music, literature, entertainment, education and more.

Maya Angelou was among the honorees at this year's BET Honors. First Lady Michelle Obama presented her award.

Actress Gabrielle Union will host the special. Performers will be announced at a later date.

I think I'm in the minority when I say I feel people really over-reacted to UNCUT, a show that was on late late night, geared toward adult men, on a cable network, meaning it HAS to be paid for!

But it's the same network that airs 106 & Park 8 hours before which caters to teens mostly. I think it was a huge problem, though I watched it as a teen. Too me, its the same with Cartoon Network. Adult Swim should be a whole network in itaks own.

Agree.

But of course their not going to do that because money is more important, more important than the influence violence, sex, drugs, etc has on children.
