the media assasination of celebs. After the media circus lead by Martin Bashir attempted to take Michael Jackson apart it really got me thinking about how much a celebrities status has got to do with the way they are shot down.If MJ wasnt as famous/big as he is would someone else have been a target for alligations like the ones made instead. It looks to me like the media/press are obsessed with knocking down the ones they cannot touch.what do u all think out there people? and do u think the blame is entirely on the press with michael jackson or is he his own worst enemy with the way they all hound him?.the guy did make up stuff about sleeping in an oxygen chamber and other bizarre stuff.so did he make himself a target?

The media doesn't "assasinate" anybody. It's a mutual need relationship. Celebs need the press, and the press needs celebs.
Celebs want to get their mugs on the covers of magazines, in newspapers, and on TV. They need the media. The media needs the celebs because folks like to read about famous people and watch nonsense like "Lives of the Rich and Famous. Celebs like MJ and his "people" feed bullshit gossip to the tabloids and then whine when the gossip starts to bite them in ass.

media scrutiny is a bi product/symbiotic relationship of celebrity...what you gain (riches, fame, adoring fans) has a price and everyone knows that before they enter into that a glamourous field. If i ever make it as a singer...my blessings will outweigh the gossip of some tabloid hack who doesn't know me at all.

You have to give prince respect for keeping a lot of his private life PRIVATE.I bet quite a lot of celebs would like sum tips.
