It's that time again: Rock & Roll Hall to announce its inductees on the week of December 10th

This coming from the futurerocklegends site...

So right now, as it stands, these are the nominees for the 2013 class, critics have not been too inspired by the picks:

  • Public Enemy
  • Rush
  • Deep Purple
  • Donna Summer
  • Chic
  • Heart
  • Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
  • Albert King
  • Randy Newman
  • N.W.A.
  • Procol Harum
  • Kraftwerk
  • The Marvelettes
  • The Meters
  • Paul Butterfield Blues Band

Of course, people can only vote for 5 but the Hall has sometimes broke its rules inducting six or seven. So judging that there may be six, seven, or even eight inductees in its performing class, who do you think will likely get in?

This will be the official thread for the announcement of the inductees and the ones who get inducted will have their name in bold on this post's update.

strange that Whitney is not even nominated, given the hype surrounding her name this year.

I'm definitely for Kraftwerk wink

I'm just starting to hear the buzz for Kraftwerk this week when I couldn't find mention of them in months after the announcement.

The media has been pushing for Rush and Deep Purple like a marathon race... especially Rush for some reason.

Rush will most likely get in, though im not a fan or even honestly can i say i know most of their work, to me they are like Floyd and Yes and i cant get too into those artists either. Deep Purple to me is another one album wonder, "smoke on the water" is a signature song for them and alot of members of the Hall Of Fame, and they might get in on that. It would be nice to see HEART get in finally, though it probably wont happen cause the HALL seems to have issues with any artist (rock) that hit a run of 80's hits, and that clearly was a big part of HEART's work however just on the 70's work they should be in long before most on this list if not all.

Donna Summer would get in now since she's dead.

What does Rock n roll Hall of fame know anything about music.
