Mamie Smith - Crazy Blues

The first blues song to be recorded by a black recording artist back in 1920. Written by unsung music pioneer Perry Bradford, who has been alleged to have been the first black composer to successfully have blacks record songs during an obviously difficult time. Without Mamie, we wouldn't have had Bessie (who came out in 1923).
